On Friday 21 and Saturday 22 September, Rosanna Martin lead a brick clamp kiln firing workshop on the foreshore of the Fal river, using china clay lost to the river when the mining industry was in operation here. A brickworks existed on the banks of the Fal estuary between 1891 and 1907 but all that remains at the site today is a tall chimney, once used to draw air through the kilns to keep the temperatures rising.
